Pond Maintenance, Rainham

This customer got through to us by being given one of our business cards from a local company we advertise with. They had originally contacted us for a pond clean out however it became apparent they had a leak somewhere in the pond. We discussed relining options however they had a sustainable amount of hard landscaping surrounding the existing pond and very well bedded plants. We all agreed that disrupting the existing landscape would be a shame and trying to keep it in tact would be ideal. With the proposal of installing a preformed pond to fit the existing hole was deemed the best solution that is what we went for.

Once we had taken measurements and compared them to the preformed ponds available on the market we landed on an Oase PE500. It allowed for marginal plants with its built-in shelving and had enough swimming spaces for the resident inhabitants. We returned at the later agreed upon date to complete the work. We moved the existing fish into an on-site temporary holding pen which allowed us to begin the fitting of the new pond. The clay ground under the existing liner had to be dug out and adjusted slightly to make shape and once the new preformed pond was in place we back filled the walls to support the pond long term. After a long, rainy day the new pond was in place with all the fish returned into their new home.
