Roof Cleaning, Sittingbourne

Jessica got in contact with us through WhatsApp to arrange an initial site visit to view the roof. She was having endless problems with damp in one of the front upstairs bedrooms however the roof had a fairly large build up of moss and the entire roof was very dark stained with organic growth so for a roofer to carry out an investigation on the leak would be rather difficult. She wanted the roof cleaned in preparation for a roofer to come by at a later date. We explained the two methods of cleaning the roof those being a moss removal with scraping tools followed by a biocide treatment or to low pressure steam clean the entire roof. Jessica opted for the steam cleaning method so the results would be instant ready for the roofer as well as leaving her with a new looking roof giving her house a complete facelift. We booked in the work and returned on the agreed upon date.

The roof was steamed clean followed by a post biocide treatment to kill off any remaining stubborn moss and lichens. All the gutters were hoovered out and the entire area rinsed down. All the work was carried out from a stand alone MiTower which helped save a lot of cost for the customer as there was no need to have full scaffolding erected around the property. During the clean we noted down any areas of concern we thought could be causing water ingress, two notable areas were a completely missing tile near the ridge one the back side of the house and a significant crack in a tie just above the gutter line at the front of the property.
